Hello lovely people its Tierra, the Founder of Burn Away your Burdens! After some consideration we have decided to start this Blog for you all. We believe that knowledge is power and want to provide you with as much power as we can! With the starting of this blog we will be writing about monthly happenings along with different tips and information on mental health for you all!
I do hope that you come back monthly to see what is going on in the world and in our little corner of it! As you know one of Burn Away Your Burdens main goals is to provide people with healthy coping mechanisms to enrich their lives for the better. We hope to be able to provide you with some tips and information that you will walk away with after reading it feeling confident. I hope that you will join us on this voyage to a more mindful world. As you know, we are in the process of creating programs that will teach healthy coping mechanisms to our peers struggling with Mental Illness. This, of course, involves lots of work and money. Please consider donating to our cause to help us achieve our goals of a more mindful world. We would love to be able to help as many of our peers as we can, but we can’t do that without you! You are key to our success. We believe that we can come together to create programs that will give people patience, self-control, self-love, and an easier way of life. Nobody deserves to suffer the way mental illness subjects suffer. Consider a donation as you will be assisting in our Mental Health crisis. We also have a monthly newsletter that you can input your email in below! We can’t wait to have you. Thank you for reading, we are looking forward to having you on this journey with us. ~ Tierra Zaleski

Hello friends! My name is Kate, and I’m a senior in college studying Psychology and Philosophy, with minors in Art History and Fine Arts. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but I now call Boston home while I finish my last year of school.
Art and expressing myself creatively have always been central to who I am. I enjoy painting, playing guitar, and above all else, writing. While I've found that these outlets have allowed me to process the world around me on a deeper level, they have also allowed me to form a connection with myself and my ever changing identity. Writing, in particular, has been my way of grounding myself since early highschool. To me, it is a form of introspection, meditation, and healing. This is what first drew me to Burn Away Your Burdens: the shared belief that healthy and personal coping mechanisms are essential to growth and stability. Beyond journaling, I love to write fictional stories, poetry, and songs. I’m so grateful to be part of this inspiring community, and I can’t wait to keep sharing my personal and academic work with all of you.
